About us
"Yoga is the union of the mind, body and soul. Yogarei combines Yoga and Reiki throughout the practice in order to allow for the universal life force energy to channel through the mind-body connection during the physical practice."
As sisters raised in a Hindu family in Wembley, we naturally found a connection to the Yogic principles having been taught these since childhood. Seen as a way of life, matters of morality, ethical values and beliefs were instilled in us by our family from our early years. We grew up with a father who would live by and practice Hatha Yoga and Pranic breathing every morning, opening his practice with Surya Namaskar. The physcial, metaphysical, meditative and spiritual aspects of Yoga became a natural part of our daily lives as children. Thinking about it now... it makes sense that we both subconsciously found our way to Yoga as a life form.
We experimented with Yoga on and off for a number of years until we found an inspirational private teacher in 2005. In 2011/2012, we decided to complete our Ashtanga Vinyasa 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with The Yoga People in London.

Namaste - with love and light we welcome and honour the divinity within you.
I grew up with and around Yoga, but never quite understood its depth. I am still growing, learning and evolving in my understanding, as well as my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual development. I know that we will all continue to do so.
As a teenager, I sporadically took classes but it was only when I experienced chronic back pain that I turned to Yoga as my healer. After seeing a number of consultants, having several scans and X-rays the doctors were left dumbfounded. I started off with a little back pain (mid-upper back) and assumed that I had just pulled a muscle and that it would go away in a few days. I wasn't being too mindful of it until I realised that the pain was beginning to spread toward the base of my spine and then progressively to my neck and head. This went on for about 6 months. During this time I came back to Yoga and eventually the head, neck, shoulder and spinal pain went away.
I went on to research some natural healing therapies and eventually, I discovered the ancient practice of Reiki - the art of channeling the universal life force energy to heal the Chakras (energy centres).
I decided to become certified in Reiki healing Levels 1 & 2 (with the intention of at least being able to heal myself in the future).
Years later, my sister and I decided we wanted to learn about Yoga in depth and so in 2011 decided to complete our qualification. It's funny, as after now having practiced Yoga for years and qualifying as an instructor I understand that during the phase of my chronic back pain it was my Chakras that were out of balance and that I was at a point where my mind, body and soul were in dis-connect. We now open and close our classes using Reiki symbols to channel energy to our students.

Namaste - The light inside of me honours the light inside of you.
I’ve been on a journey with yoga – it started as a daily practice and faded out of my life. When it faded I realised how I felt on a daily basis. I felt tension in the body and tension in my mind. Eventually I was brought back to yoga, inspired by my long term teacher. In 2011, I decided to rebuild my relationship with yoga.
It relaxes me, helps me to think better and with clarity. I love to allow people to infuse physical asana (posture) working together with breath and the mind. Feeling a lightness of being and the joy of seeing is a great inspiration to me. Motivating individuals and changing lives for a living and for the empowerment within allows me to deliver yoga in a calm and connected way.
I work with children and use yoga daily through imagination, breath work and reflection. Having run a set of one hour workshops with teenagers and teachers on behaviour and mindfulness has enforced clarity in what I deliver when I teach yoga.
Having discovered Yoga Nidra whilst on my teacher training, via reading and extensive research working with adults and children to see amazing results in opening the intuition of individuals has heightened my passion for delivering ‘the yogic sleep method’ which deepens relaxation and takes you through all the multi-dimensional states of consciousness. Opening your awareness and allowing mindfulness to become a daily part of life. We can plant the seeds of thought and watch them flourish and develop on a mental, physical and emotional level.
I would love for you to come and join me on a journey of a life time. It is my pleasure to work with you and change your life for the better. Come and join me so we can work together to empower your life goals through yoga and meditation.
Let us empower and enlighten your lives through finding your true self and your true life. Our attitude is gratitude - Divya and Dipa would love to greet the soul in you.
